The Brain Fog Festival
An honest workshop on perimenopause and menopause, emotional overload, and trying to function while your hormones absolutely betray you.
About the Workshop
Real talk.
Real support.
The Brain Fog Festival is a live talk and workshop on perimenopause and menopause, emotional overload, and the experience of trying to function while your hormones are doing something entirely unscheduled.
At its heart, it is a coming together of like-minded women — a space to be honest, to be heard, and to realise you are far from alone in what you are experiencing. It is the kind of conversation that many women have needed for a long time but have not always had the language or the space to have.
Delivered by Nicola Clancy, Psychological Therapist and creator of The Nicola Method™, the workshop blends psychological insight with lived understanding and practical tools — in a way that feels real and relatable rather than clinical or prescriptive.
It is not about perfection or performance. It is about honesty, understanding, and leaving with something genuinely useful.
You are not broken. You are not dramatic. You are not weak. And despite appearances on some days, you are probably not actually losing your mind.

Workshop Content
What it covers
What it actually feels like
The real experience of perimenopause and menopause — not the textbook version. Tired but wired. Emotional but numb. Foggy, flat, and unlike yourself.
The emotional side
The confidence drop, self-doubt, short fuse, and shame — and why high-functioning women often feel this most acutely.
Why women turn on themselves
When capacity changes without explanation, self-criticism can feel like control. It is not. This section unpacks that pattern honestly.
What actually helps
Practical, realistic supports — naming it, talking about it, reducing overload, supporting your nervous system, and not abandoning yourself.
Also included
The Nicola Method™
Applied to this stage of life
Feel it. Frame it. Move. The Nicola Method™ is woven throughout the workshop — giving participants a clear, compassionate framework they can take away and use immediately. Not as a fix, but as a way of responding to themselves with more honesty and less self-attack.
